Why call a Robot Jeff?

Watching Tom Hanks Act used to be an Education in itself-the Guy is impressive

However, I was unfortunate enough to see one of His latest efforts 'Finch' [2021]and much of

His Acting credibility is hanging by a Thespian thread after He agreed to take part in this Cinematic

Joke of a Movie -Baseball Mitts on sentimental  Robots? liked Finch's Hat tho..similar to mine..

'Finch' calls His Robot creation 'Jeff' -thinking it a name most fitting and in some ways it is- 'Jeff'

derives from 'Jeffrey' which originally meant 'Gift of Peace'..

The Writers must have had disturbed Childhoods using all the 'Americana' remembered and transforming it into a kind of surreal critique? nah didn't do it for Me- 'Armageddon' is for keeps - no survivors Dogs or Robots.

The Confidence-Man foregrounds questions of trust. Through its multitude of characters, even through what some might call its hyperbole, the novel becomes an experience of reading. It’s not so much that readers become immersed in the story, unaware of what’s actually happening around them, the experience that many readers so enjoy about reading; rather, readers are consistently startled, questioning what they thought they knew, and ultimately questioning themselves.
